** Urges Residents to disregard IPOB Sit At Home Order

The Governor of Ebonyi State Engr. David Umahi has dissolved all his Executive assistants, Senior technical assistants and technical assistants.
He also dissolved Local government advisory committees, boards and commissions apart from local government service commission, civil service commission, house of Assembly service commission and judicial service commission and judicial service commission.
Umahi announced the dissolution during a live broadcast to mark his six years in office at old Government house Abakaliki, the state capital.
The dissolution was carried out barely 24 hours he dissolved eighty three executive council members and retained 23 members.
Umahi said the dissolution became imperative towards delivering first class services to the people of the state.
The Governor appreciated God for all the achievements of his adminstration despite economic and security challenges in the last six years and poured an encomium on the late general Sani Abacha and founding fathers for creating the state saying that his adminstration has developed all faces of state economy, added that his landmark achievements Engr. David Umahi University of medical sciences Uburu, international airport, construction and dualization of major roads, shopping mall and flyovers would always stand on the days of time and contribute the socioeconomic development of the state.
The Governor pledged for construction of flyovers at Afikpo, Hausa quarters junction as well as construction of Oziza road, orizor airport road, Okwongbo road among others while expressing gratitude to his family members and supporters for their contributions which enhanced the success recorded in his administration for the past six years and promised to empower his loyal supporters from next year.
On the issue of security, Umahi hinted that insecurities were being fueled by political utterances of the disgruntled politicians and charged security agencies and relevant authorities to do the needful saying that patriotism was needed in this critical time stating that he would liaise with his exco members to make law that would be checkmating fake news by onliners
Speaking on the IPOB sit at order, Governor Umahi charged Ebonyi residents to disregard such order and go about their normally business and ordered security agencies and Ebubeagu security outfit to deal decisively anyone who molest any law abiding citizen of the state.
Umahi who described the IPOB order as foolishness hinted that what an Ebonyi man can never accept was to go back into second slavery under any guise pointing out that Biafra needed in South East is money so as to cleanse the tugger of slavery their brothers and sisters subjected them into and insisted that the must be free movement in all parts of the state.
He directed that all markets and shops must be opened on that day adding that anybody whose shop is closed would forfeit it while calling on the youths and local government chairmen to collaborate with security agencies to ensure that law and order are being maintained and however placed ban on any form of procession in the state till further notice.
