Umahi Consoles Fmr Attorney General, Nduka Nwokpo Over Mother’s Death


—Urges Him To Uphold Her Legacies

Governor Engr. David Umahi of Ebonyi state has commiserated with the family of the former Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Nduka Vincent Nwokpo over the death of his mother Madam Theresa Nwokpo who died at the age of 90 years.

The Governor represented at the event by the Honorable Attorney General of the State and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Cletus Ofoke conveyed his commiseration message during the burial of the Late Matriarch at Ndieze Community in Izzi Local Government Area of the State.

The Governor who expressed sad over the demise of matriarch, said death snatched her when her family and the State at large needed her advise most and enjoined the family to cry less and take solace in God as there is an end to everything in view of the fact the late mother lived a memorable life while on earth and urged people who attended the burial ceremony to live an indelible foot prints so that people will gather and celebrate in their departed time, while promising to continue to identify with with deceased family.

On his part, the former Minister of State for Power and Steel Chief Goddy Ogbaga enjoined the deceased children to emulate the good qualities and upheld the legacies of their late Mother.

The former Minister however encouraged them to continue to be their brothers keeper, show love to each and live peacefully while praying God to console the family and grant the Matriarch internal rest.

On their part, the executive chairman of Izzi Local Government Area Barr. Steve Emenike Nwamkpa and Special Assistant to the Governor on project monitoring Hon. Richard Idike who described death as debt every mortal must pay one day, prayed God to give the family fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

However, some children of the deceased including Barr. Nduka Nwokpo, Bishop Nwabueze Nwokpo and Mrs Beatrice Nwokpo, described their late mother as disciplinarian, philanthropist, upright and virtuous woman, praying God to accept her soul and vowed to uphold their late mother’s legacies.

Meanwhile, the burial was well attended by top government functionaries, business moguls among others.
