As the call for equity and fairness in the zoning of key political positions in Ebonyi State becomes intensified, the people of Ohaukwu local government area have expressed their satisfaction with Governor Umahi’s achievements within the past seven years in office and reiterated their readiness to vote massively for the Speaker Ebonyi State House of Assembly and State Gubernatorial Candidate of APC, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as Governor Umahi’s successor in the forthcoming general elections.

The people made their feelings known during the inauguration ceremony of both the wards and local government executive members of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON) youth movement which was held at Ezzangbo, the local government council headquarters.
While addressing the people at the event, the Executive Chairman of Ohaukwu Local Government Area, Hon. Ikechukwu Odono said that Nwifuru will be delivered 100% in all the fifteen wards of the council because he has distinguished himself above other contestants.
In his part, the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Sunday Inyima, who assured of his unflinching support of Rt. Hon. Nwifuru’s candidacy, recalled that one of the released pigeons during the last army remembrance day in Abakaliki, after flying to a reasonable length, came back and perched on Mr. Speaker’s head, to the amazement of many who were convinced that hhis emergence as the next governor of Ebonyi State is divine and unstoppable.
Similarly, a great women mobilizer and former local government chairman of the council, Hon. Mrs. Chinyere Elom, observed that it is the time for the youths to take the centre stage in the business of politics, not just in Ebonyi State, but Nigeria at large, and called on the elders to support the advocacy, adding that the women of Ohaukwu are strongly in support of FON youths movement.

Also, the leader of Hausa community in Ohaukwu local government area, Alhaji Spinna, promised to work with the stakeholders of the area to deliver Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and other candidates of APC in the state and beyond, and promised to maintain the existing peace between the Hausa people and their host community.
Also, the APC candidate of Ohaukwu/Ebonyi Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Pastor Eze Nwachukwu who was ably represented by Mr. Ituma Chinedu, advised the leadership of FON youths movement to be orderly in all their dealings and to carry everybody along, in order to achieve success in 2023 general elections.

Others who spoke during the event, including the Honourable member representing Ohaukwu South Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Chinedu Onah, the Coordinator Ohaukwu DC and Chairman Coordinators Forum in Ohaukwu L.G.A, Hon. Obiora Okwoshi, the FON youths movement Coordinator, Ebonyi North Zone, Comrade Paul Ituma and the Ohaukwu local government Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Ogeh Tobias, all promised to toe the path which the state governor and other lovers of equity in Ebonyi State have taken, stressing that the people of Ohaukwu are standing firm with APC, which will be demonstrated in 2023 when their votes will account for the victory of Nwifuru as their preferred candidate.
Recall that the highlight of the event was the inauguration of both the wards and the local government executives of the FON youths movement by the national legal adviser of the movement, Barr. Ejike Enwu under the supervision of their national president, Comrade Chinedu Emerike, which was accompanied with cultural dance and other musical interludes.
