Nwifuru Sets To Revive Ebonyi Football League, As Governor’s Cup Football Competition Kicks off 29 July

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi state has kicked off the arrangements for the formation of State league and inaugurated committee headed by Mr Utobo Emmanuel, Director, ministry of Youths and Sports.

The governor represented by the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Prince Richard Ugo Idike made this known at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki, Tuesday.

Prince Idike charged the committee to ensure transparency in the selection of talented Ebonyi Indigenous youths in their various Local Government Area teams.

Performing the inauguration, Hon Richard Idike announced the official kick off of the Governor’s Cup Football Competition on 29th July.

He applauded the state governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his readiness to revamp the sports sector and pledged to ensure that the administration succeeds in desire to effect on the lives of the people positively.

The Committee chairman, and director of the ministry of Youths and Sports,Mr Emmanuel Utobo appreciated the state governor for the plan to revive sporting sector and assured of the committee readiness to deliver on given mandate.

Meanwhile, the committee was inaugurated by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Richard Idike.
