—Pledges To Restore Peace In Crisis Zones, Others

The immediate past Commissioner for Lands and Survey in Ebonyi state, Chief Emmanuel Uguru has emerged as the sole candidate to represent the good people of Izzi/Abakaliki Federal Constituency under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Uguru was elected unopposed during the party’s primary election as announced by the chairman of the electoral committee,Hadiza Nasiru in Abakaliki, the State Capital.
Addressing his teaming supporters after the exercise, Chief Uguru appreciated God for making it possible for him to emerged victoriously at the poll and also thanked the State Governor Engr. David Umahi, delegates and APC stalwarts from the Constituency and State at large for their unflinching supports and solidarity which affirmed his victory, saying that the exercise was peaceful and harmoniously conducted.
The hopeful incoming lawmaker who had served Ebonyi State and Federal Government in the various capacities, said that he would run all inclusive administration, thereby, representing his constituents effectively and efficiently well by surpassing in his past track records.
Speaking further, Uguru noted that he is eminently qualified for the position following his past antecedents in the positions he has held and vowed to defeat anybody from the opposition parties that would contest against him.
According to him, “Over the years I have been so blessed, I have been in one position or the other. I have served as Abakaliki Local Government chairman for two tenures, I was ALGON chairman Ebonyi State, I was National Vice Chairman of ALGON; I was the federal board chairman for four years, I have been commissioner about three to four times. If I don’t have track records, I wouldn’t have be selling the way I am selling.
” I am not going to replicate my antecedents but to surpass what I have been doing when I was in those positions”
“In 2011, I contested for this position but whatever reason I didn’t make it, in 2014, I contested again and I made it in primary but for whatever reason they said I should drop, who knew it wasn’t my time and I was convinced that it was my time.
“Today I am at it again I know who laugh last laughs the best”
“I am not going to point at any project but I am known for working hard that is why it is my motto, I don’t like being idle, I will do my best” he added
However, Uguru hinted that he would leave no stone unturned in restoring permanent peace to the warring Communities in the constituency and beyond.
