From Agbo Amauche, Abakaliki
The Deputy Leader of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ununu has said the emergence of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has brought light to Ebonyians.
The lawmaker stated this while speaking with newsmen during the celebration of independence day anniversary, held at Nkwegu primary school, Abakaliki.
The Deputy leader of the State Assembly who chronicled the modest achievements of Governor Nwifuru in all sectors within the short period of time in office, described his people’s oriented and purpose- driven leadership as second to none since the creation of Ebonyi State, while calling on Ebonyi people to keep supporting the Governor as he is committed to the delivering of dividends of democracy in the State.
According to the Deputy leader, “this is only the Government that has the interest of Ebonyi people at heart, Governor Nwifuru has good packages for us and he is committed to delivering dividends of democracy to the people of the State. Let’s us (Ebonyians) keep supporting him for the realization of his people’s charter of needs manifesto”.
He further commended the Governor for given the people of the State the opportunity to celebrate this year’s independence anniversary that has lasted over eight years without celebration.
“Today is the history making in the lives of Ebonyi people because independence day has been a forgotten issue. You can see how children and adults are rejoicing” Ununu said.
However, he prayed the almighty God to give Governor Nwifuru more wisdom, good health and strength as he continues to pilot the affairs of the State.
