Ebonyi philanthropist and community leader, High Chief Dr Wisdom Okoye, has described the tribunal victory of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as Godly ordained and urged other opposition candidates of the 2023 general election to backup the governor as to fulfill his Charter of People’s Needs manifesto.
Chief Okoye bare his mind while interacting with Newsmen in Abakaliki on Weekend.
The traditional ruler aspirant of Anioma Autonomous community in Onicha LGA of Ebonyi state called on the governorship candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,APGA Prof Ifeanyi Odo and the Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) Dr Ifeanyi Chukwu Odii to cease from taking case related to the state to court knowing that the sitting governor was ordained by God on the ground of equity and justice.

He chronicled on the performances of all the past leaders of the state and stated that Ebonyi is blessed at every stage to be governed by a man who would always put the state first and added that such was the manifestation of Senator David Umahi’s infrastructural projects that wiped out the stigma associated with ‘Nwa-Abakaliki ‘ and made every citizens of the state proud.
He applauded Nwifuru’s-led government for the practical leadership ingenuity considering his achievements within few days in office especially the payment of overdue pension and gratuity, empowerment of hawkers and the ongoing recruitment among others.

“When last I spoke with Journalists, I told them that Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru will be the most celebrated governor because he has come to unite us more than we were”.
The Eze aspirant appreciated the governor for improving the area of security and his appointment of youths in his government and explained that such has helped reduced youth restiveness at the community levels.
He further emphasized that his aspiration to the stool is to use his exposure to attract development to the community and promising to address injustice and other sundry issues bordering on youth empowerment as to end agitation among them.
“To me, it is not about the money that i will be paid as a traditional ruler, but to use my exposure and attract development in my community.
” I can’t count those I have helped pay their university school fees, converts I have constructed for my people, and other humanitarian services I have rendered before the call for the traditional stool came and I believe that greater opportunities will be made available to my people knowing that the only way to give back to the society is by touching lives of people especially the vulnerables”.
“I must equally commend my former Council chairman, Hon Felix Igboke and the consolidation mantra of our present chairman for his doggedness and changing the face of Onicha LGA and we pray that God will continue to endow him with wisdom to make Onicha the best Council soon”. he stated.
