The Special Assistant to Ebonyi state governor on Inter Party and Labour Matters, Comrade Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor on Saturday 7th November,2020 said the only recognized Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Chairman recognized in the state is the national inaugurated interim leadership of Hon. Nchita Akahite.
She made this known to newsmen at the end of their resolution meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital, noting that the council has no other Chairman other the national recognized and inaugurated interim Chairman,Nchita Samuel Akahite pending when the council would officially conduct it’s general elections.
The Special Assistant noted that the decision was taken by the council following the deregistration of some political parties by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC which Comrade Nwogba Morgan Nnaemeka was affected, there by, can’t serve the council on such capacity.
Comrade (Mrs.) Adibe-Nwafor, therefore, called on all members of IPAC to be United and join force with the interim Chairman as to build a formidable house which is in line with the national executive directive.
According to her: “there are no two IPAC in Ebonyi State and Mr. Nchita Samuel Akahite is the only recognized Interim Chairman of IPAC in the state who was rightfully inaugurated by the National Executive Council of IPAC on 29th of July, 2020, pending when the National body will conduct their own elections and thereafter conduct that of the states”
“Ebonyi State will be working with the 18 political parties that exist in the registers of INEC”.
The Special Assistant appealed to IPAC to accommodate all deregistered political parties that went to Court in the spirit of oneness.
She advised those whose political parties were deregistered to join other political parties which have started emerging ahead of 2023 general elections.
“Those parties who won at appeal Court but currently waiting for the Supreme Court’s verdict should exercise little patience for the Apex Court to give final judgement.
“Doing otherwise shall be viewed as deliberate efforts to undermine the constituted authorities and breach of fragile peace in the state and such person shall be meant to face the full weight of law”, she warned.
She also warned that no meeting of any kind in the name of IPAC should be held outside IPAC Secretariat in view of the present security challenges in the state.

Also, the State Secretary of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Simon Anyigor also appealed to the members of the deregistered political parties to remain calm and peaceful until Court determines their fate.
On his part, the IPAC interim Chairman, Mr. Nchita Samuel Akahite thanked the Special Assistant for her efforts to ensure peaceful coexistence in the Council.
Mr. Nchita promised to abide by the resolutions of the meeting.
It is recall that Comrade Morgan Nwogba Nnaemeka led group had recently claimed to be the only authentic Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council in the state as according to him, interim leadership is not captured in the council code of conduct.
