From Ejike Mbam, Abakaliki
Professor Simon U. Nwibo is a senior Lecturer and HOD in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
He is a native of Okpanku in Nduegu Okpuitumo Community, Abakaliki Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
Prof Akin as he is fondly called started his primary education at Okwunyiri-Onu Community School, Okpuitumo. There after, he went to Izzi High School, Ishieke. He bagged a degree in Agricultural Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
As a man desirous of excellence and in his quest to reach the pinnacle of his study, he would later proceed to United Kingdom where he obtained Masters degree from the University of Plymouth, and later back to the prestigious Ebonyi State University for his PHD, all in Agricultural Economics and Business.
Permit me as I announce to you an academian who has towered above mates in the wilderness of knowledge like a tower of Babylon and defiled all odds to become one of the brightest Professors in Ebonyi State of today, Professor Simon U. Nwibo.
