Governor Francis Nwifuru has expressed concern over the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company,EEDC indiscriminate billing and poor services in the state.
The governor bare his mind when management of the company led by the Managing Director, Praveen Chorghede paid him courtesy visit at the government house Centenary City, Abakaliki on Tuesday.

Nwifuru expressed concern over the poor supply of electricity and colluded vandalization of the company’s property and urged them to tackle the menace.

“In Ebonyi State, we are confronted with serious challenges when it comes to electricity supply. Some of them are lack of steady power supply, colluded vandalization of power infrastructures, citizens maintaining the properties of EEDC and over billing.

“The EEDC cannot boast of steady power supply for at least 4 hours in the State. At the end, our people suffer and pay for power they did not consume.
Nwifuru added, “We have been patient enough and losing confidence in EEDC. The management must seat up and do the needful or as a State, we will be left with no option than seek alternatives for our people.
