Ebonyi state chapter Inter Party Advisory Council,IPAC, led by Comrade Nwogba Morgan Nnaemeka on Thursday 5th November,2020 reconciled the long rift with members and assured them of sincere Service.
Comrade Nwogba made the pledge in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state capital shortly after their meeting, calling chairmen of different opposition parties to shealth their swords as to move the union forward.
He frowned upon the report that a suspected member of the union is parading himself as interim Chairman of the organization, even when, according to him,Inter Party Advisory Council has no provision for such in their code of conduct.
He called member of the public to disregard the rumour making the round that the opposition party group is divided and maintained that they remain united and resolute in championing the course of the union in the state.
In a communique signed and made available to newsmen, the state Chairman commended those who were earlier aggrieved but have accepted to work together for the development of the union, and urged them to continue giving him maximum support for the progress of the union.
According to the statement,”I wish to thank our members who see reason to reunite and form a formidable ground for our progress.
“IPAC as an independent body with its core mandate to advice government, I want to sound it clear that there’s nothing like interim Chairman of IPAC in Ebonyi state.
“We don’t have two chairmen in Ebonyi state, rather, somebody influence my Assistant secretary who was elected and sworn in together with me same day to be acting as a distractor to my government for his or her selfish interest but I must say that Ebonyi state chapter of IPAC is united and formidable.
“I have been able to reunite our aggrieved members because of the trust and this is clear with our esteemed members who graced today’s meeting and are the pillar of the opposition party in the state.
Corroborating the statement,Hon. Obiya Sabastine, State Chairman,Zenith Labour Party commended the incumbent Chairman for his reconciliation move, describing it as a great move.
He called members to give comrade Nwogba maximum support as the authentic Chairman of the opposition party group pending when next election would hold.
On his part, Hon. Splendour O. Eze,former Gubernatorial candidate of Advance Congress of Democrat in the last general election declared his support for comrade Nwogba led government and assured him of his support.
Meanwhile, Comrade Ibeh Immaculater,People Coalition Party state Chairman appreciated the state governor for his proactive measures to addressing recent youth protest, and the opposition party leaders for their solidarity to the growth of the state.
“I commend His Excellency for his good work especially how he handled the palliative distribution by sharing it at the right time and ensuring that everybody benefited from it, except for the fact that some persons hijacked the system to give the governor bad name when he’s not.
“I know that some persons have taking the affair of the union as a personal business for self gain and that’s wrong which some of us have refuse to be part of it because politics is a game of number which is the evident of what transpired here today with tens of opposition party leaders coming together to champion for greater Ebonyi state.
“I sincerely appreciated the chairman, comrade Nwogba Morgan Nnaemeka for bringing the leaders together again, and I am calling those concern to know that IPAC is united and would continue to be a watchdog which is it’s core mandate.
