EBHA: Deputy Speaker Challenges Ebonyi Youth On Productivity

The Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Chinedu Onah has stated that for any organization or society to be meaningfully developed, the leadership must be up to its responsibilities and imbibe spirit of togetherness.

Addressing the members of Abarigwe Youth General Assembly who paid him a courtesy visit at Legislative Complex Nkaliki, Rt. Hon. Onah urged them to preach peace, unity and display love towards one another irrespective of political affiliations.

The Deputy Speaker while expressing his satisfaction with the level of support from members of Abarigwe General Assembly during electioneering urged them to further lend their support to the policies and programmes of the state government under Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

Earlier, the President Abarigwe General Assembly Comrade Idah Chijioke said they were in the Deputy Speaker’s office to congratulate him on his successful election as Deputy Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and equitable spread of appointment of his legislative aides which ensured that four of them were appointed his Special Assistants.

He added that Abarigwe Youth General Assembly knows the importance of peace and that his words of encouragement will spur the members into more actions.

In his speech, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Deputy Speaker Chief Samuel Ede said that the lawmaker has surprised them all with the style of politics which has surpassed the hitherto style adaptable in the constituency and urged them to continue to support Chief Chinedu Onah.

The Deputy Speaker equally received members of Umuogudu-Oshia Youth General Assembly where he appreciated them for their support and charged them to work together in tackling insecurity and other social vices in the area.

He stressed the need for youths to be more productive by involving themselves in skill acquisition maintaining that busy youths have not time to think of social vices and promise to continue to give support to the youths to harness their talents.

The state lawmaker said the 7th Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa is determined to pass laws that will ensure total transformation of Ebonyi State.

Speaking earlier, the President Umuogudu-Oshia Youth Assembly Mr. Christian Ugbo while felicitating with the Deputy Speaker for his inauguration enjoined him to remain focused in discharging his duties.

He thanked the Deputy Speaker for the attention given to them in spite the short notice and promised that his words of advice and encouragement will not be pushed aside.
