Over 5000 widows and less privileged persons across different parts of Ebonyi State, on Sunday 26th December 2021 received various welfare packages such as bags of rice, fathoms of wrappers, money and other food items from the member representing Ikwo and Ezza South Federal Constituency, Hon. Comrade Chinedu Ogah.
The gesture which is an annual program of Chiboy Foundation, an NGO of the federal lawmaker attracted stakeholders across Ebonyi State including the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Barr. Eric Kelechi Igwe who was represented by the Executive Chairman of Ikwo LGA, Elder Stephen Orogwu among other personalities.
In his address at the annual event, the host Comrade Chinedu Ogah said this year’s Christmas celebration was to encourage farmers with inputs as a way of tackling food scarcity among the people. He stressed that haven saw the need to launch stomach infrastructure through the distribution of rice, other food items and money to his constituents as support their families.

In his words, “Nobody should struggle for anything because I will go round and share it as my spirit directs. I have about two trailers of rice to be shared to everyone available for this event. Unlike previous years, I am not sharing motorcycles, tricycles and farm equipments. This year is purely stomach infrastructure”. Ogah stated.
In his remarks, the State Deputy Governor, Barr. Eric Kelechi Igwe who spoke through Elder Stephen Orogwu, appreciated Comrade Chinedu Ogah for all his kind gestures to Ebonyi people and his constituents in particular. He charged the constituents to always support Hon. Ogah, stressing that Ogah is one of the best Politicians in Nigeria.
On his part, Chairman of Revenue Mobilization Commission, Chief Engr. Elias Mbam who was a special guest at the event, described Comrade Ogah as a special gift from God whose representation and pragmatic approach to issues have touched souls and have continued touching them without discrimination. He prayed and wished him the best in all his political career.
Other speakers including Prof. Anthony Itumo, Chief Okeagu Ogada and others noted that the lawmaker has performed above expectations and prayed for his higher elevation, God’s protection and more blessings upon him.
The annual Christmas celebration which started with a Thanksgiving service, attracted various groups, supporters and dignitaries from different parts of the state.
