Ebonyi Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Hon Jude Chikadibia Okpor has on the occasion of the birthday felicitated with the first lady of the state, Chief (Mrs) Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru.
The state Commissioner for Information in his statement, congratulated the wife of the governor and prayed for abundant blessings.
“May I, on behalf of my family and the good people of Ebonyi State, felicitate Your Excellency, Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Mauldline Ogbonna Nwifuru on this momentous occasion of your birthday.
“Birthdays happen every year—moments of appreciation and self-recollection of the Lord’s goodness—but those of special persons like you who sacrifice so much to serve humanity become our reference point, and so challenge and charge us into hard-work from our own modest standpoint.
He added, “Your Excellency, the humility and commitment with which you have stepped into the welfare of women, children etc decisively as the First Lady are lessons for us all on the virtuous concept of leadership.
“I am still amazed by the passion and unrelenting effort you put into ensuring the immediate and safe return of Ebonyi children reportedly missing or abandoned anywhere in the country, particularly those of Anambra and Lagos states.
“As a quintessential and people-oriented leader whom the people of Ebonyi State are proud of, you have demonstrated uncommon sagacity through your numerous campaigns and advocacy against trafficking in persons, child abuse, street hawking, social vices and women inclusiveness in governance in the state these few months in an exemplary and dignified manner.
” You have equally demonstrated unprecedented commitment towards a holistic restoration of the hope, confidence and self reliance of Ebonyi women through mentorship and life changing empowerment programmes in partnership with relevant agencies.
“You indeed deserve our consistent and fervent prayers, support and co-operation always, even as we look towards the future with justified optimism, and guaranteed assuredness.
“Your Excellency, on this auspicious occasion of your birthday, the government and people of Ebonyi State are united in supplication to God to grant you continuous good health and wisdom as you are determined to support your dear husband, His Excellency Rt.
