The immediate past Chairman of Afikpo North local government area, Chief Ogbonnaya Oko Enyim on Wednesday 31st March,2021 resigned his appointment as Special Assistant to Ebonyi State Governor on School monitoring.
Chief Enyim who was appointed Special Assistant to the governor after his unsuccessful attempt to do his second term as a council Chairman.
According to him, his resignation was to avoid break of rancour and acrimony between his younger sister whom the governor had replaced him with in the recent state council election.
The letter further explained that the state Governor had denied him his family right as a son when he had concluded the burial of his late father.
It reads: “Your Excellency, sir. Your current disposition towards me has made me to realize that I have no place any longer in your government.
“Your Excellency,your preference to my younger sister to me for reasons best known to you have compelled me to take this decision in other to avoid rancour and
acrimony.
“Your Excellency, against every known tradition, and good conscience your decision to interfere and deny me my right as the first son to organize a befitting burial for my father in line with my already concluded arrangements, after spending fortunes is not acceptable to me.
The erstwhile council Chairman is said to be on his way back to PDP.
