The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi has directed the immediate resumption of activities of the new Security Outfits recently created by the Law of the State House of Assembly, namely EBONYI NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH fashioned after the Neighborhood Watch in Anambra State and EBONYI VIGILANTE CORPS fashioned after the Amotekun in South West Nigeria.

The order was contained in a released endorsed and made available to newsmen by his special assistant on media and strategy Chief Chooks Oko in Abakaliki the State Capital.

According to the released, Umahi ordered that the two security outfits would not operate on the two election days: February 25, 2023 and March 11, 2023 respectively saying that strict compliance is demanded as the security Agencies have been mandated to ensure same is not flouted while wishing people of the State a very peaceful elections.
