Few days to general elections, the Executive Chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, Hon. Ebere Stephen Nwogba and other distinguished stakeholders of the council have unanimously reaffirmed the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in all the polling units.
They stated this during the party’s rally held at Nkwagu primary school in Abakaliki Local Government Area of the State.
The Council chairman while expressing their readiness to deliver all the candidates of the party from top to bottom noted that APC government in the State has made them proud, adding that the people would reward His Excellency the Governor of the State with their massive votes.
According to him: “Abakaliki LGA is for APC and APC is for Abakaliki LGA. I am very happy on the large crowd I am seeing here today, Courtesy of His Excellency the Governor, Sir we will reward you with our massive votes.
” The large crowd I am seeing today is a clear demonstration that APC Government has done well to Ebonyi people. In Abakaliki LGA; we are ready to deliver our candidates at all levels” he said.
He commended Ebonyi State Governor Engr. David Umahi for standing on equity, justice and fair play by choosing the illustrious son of Izhi clan, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to succeed him in office, describing him as an excellent leader with a golden hearth while praying for him to emerge as the next Senator of Ebonyi South Senatorial zone so as to continue impacting in the lives of Ebonyi people positively.
He assured that the party would record overwhelming victory as there is no existence of any other political party in the entire council.
On his part, the APC campaign Coordinator in Abakaliki Local Government Area, Dr. Emmanuel Echiegu while thanking Gov. Umahi for his leadership ingenuity in the State, described the Governor as a father of equity noting that the people of the council would do everything possible towards ensuring the party’s victory.
The Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on Road Maintenance who doubled as the National President of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, Hon. Ben Nwovu said the youths of Izhi Nnodo are solidly behind the Governorship Candidate of APC and other candidates of the party.
He urged the youths to stay away from violence before, during and after the elections while charging them to go and collect their Permanent Voters Card and vote massively to all the APC candidates to enable them emerge victoriously at the polls.
However, Chief Romanus Nwasum and the State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Charles Akpuenika , the former member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Abakaliki South Constituency, Hon. Helen Nwobashi and APC chieftain, Lady Virginia Oketa among others expressed confidence on the choice of Nwifuru’s candidature and assured their preparedness to canvass votes for the party so as to record overwhelming victory.
