Ebonyi State Governor, Engr. David Umahi, Friday lauded the stakeholders of Afikpo North Local Government Area for mobilizing massively in the All Progressives Congress APC campaign rally in the council.
Umahi also thrown specially commendation to the council chairman, Hon. Uchenna Ibiam for his commitment to duty and excellent performances within the short period in office.
He made the commendation during the party mega campaign rally at Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
The Governor reiterated his decision to enthrone the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru to be his successor and urged the people to pay deaf ear to the pretendersl from the zone who is desperate for power.
According to the Governor: ” The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is going to be next Governor of Ebonyi State, forget the pretenders.
” I am standing at this headquarters of Ebonyi South to tell you that nobody from Ebonyi South will become Governor of Ebonyi State until after sixteen years”.
He urged the people of the Council to vote Chief Francis Nwifuru to be next Governor of Ebonyi State, him and Barr Eni Uduma Chima respectively to represent them at the National Assembly.
“Nobody has the the power to truncate the equity, justice and fairness in the State. Vote for Nwifuru; he has a beautiful manifesto. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is our candidate vote for him we don’t have any other candidate apart from him. Vote for him massively”
The Governor further appreciated President Mohammed Buhari for his love to Igbo people, adding that the dualization of Abakaliki/ Afikpo road as well as Abakaliki/ Enugu road would be completed by the incoming Governor Chief Ogbonna Nwifuru, while maintaining that the incoming Government would give women 50% affirmative action.
On his part, the All Progressives Congress APC, candidate Chief Francis Nwifuru thanked Governor Umahi for his support, love and fatherly role in ensuring that he succeeded him in office.
The Speaker who added that APC is the largest political party that is open to accommodate anybody that came around seeked the total support and solidarity of Afikpo North people to enable him win landslide victory.
He assured the people of quality representation and vowed to carry everybody along if voted into power.
The State APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Princess Patricia Obila, the chairman of Afikpo North LGA Hon. Uchenna Ibiam, Hon. Christopher Omo Isu among others noted that Afikpo North is totally for APC and promised to deliver all the candidates 100%
The State Director General of Divine Mandate Campaign for consolidation and continuity, Chief Austin Umahi maintained that Governor Umahi has made Ebonyi people proud in his leadership ingenuity and appreciated him for standing on equity, justice and fair play while
stressing the need for Ebonyi people to vote all the APC candidates into power for consolidation and continuity of Umahi’s achievements.
The State APC chairman Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha observed that Afikpo North people is the first beneficiaries of the good leadership happening in the State. He assured that no single vote would lost out for APC.
Meanwhile, the event attracted APC stalwarts, youths and women while the event featured the blessings of Governor Umahi to represent Ebonyi South zone at the National Assembly, Chief Francis Nwifuru as the next Governor of Ebonyi State and other APC candidates by Afikpo North royal fathers.
