Ebonyi state Commissioner for Youths Development and Sports, Hon Richard Ugo-Idike has called on participating athletes to cooperate with the officials at the Asaba 2023 National Youth Games.
The State Sports Commissioner in statement issued by the media aide, Ambassador Chukwuma Ogbo Unachi gave the advise while addressing athletes in Abakaliki on Wednesday,20th September,2023.
According to him,”Earlier today 20th September, 2023, the Hon commissioner for Youths Development and sports Ebonyi State HON Prince Richard Ugo-Idike has called on Ebonyi State contingents who traveled for the National youth Games tagged”Asaba 2023″ to cooperate with the officials.
“The present administration of his Excellency, RT Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru l has provided all that is needed to make TEAM EBONYI the best team throughout the federation.
Hon Idike assured the athletes of a positive reward if emerged victoriously in the games ” Let me assure you that any of you who will return home with gold, medals or it equivalent, we will reward you, because His Excellency RT Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is a talk and do Governor”.
He pleaded with the official to give the athletes a very conducive atmosphere and support as to motivate them to defeat their opponents.
The National Youth Games starts today and the 36 States teams in the federation will arrive Asaba, it’s a ten days programmes. “Pray for TEAM EBONYI!”. END
