“Workers of Ebonyi State cry no more, God has send a redeemer. They are the reason why God almighty asked me to come in. Non payment of civil servants, pension and gratuity are ever”

“I am contesting to win because the voice of my God said go and contest and he didn’t go and contest to know whether if i will win. I asked which party and he said any political party”

“I want to liberate Local Government adminstration, I will do joint projects with them, they will monitor while I will come commission those projects. We will do it in that way so that Local Government Areas will be active”

No incumbent Governor is richer or greater than God than God almighty who sent me, let’s build the campaign of this 2023 in the platform of peace”

While speaking in the area of security, Awam noted his adminstration would retrain and equip the men of EBUBEAGU security outfit to serve as an internal security by complementing the Nigeria Police Force in combating security in the State to enhance peace, unity and development of the State.

Speaking further, Awam maintained that he was anointed by God to be Governor David Umahi’s successor in 2023.

According to him “Naturally, I supposed not to be running for this election, but when I heard His voice, telling me to come to lead Ebonyi people, and I asked; what do you want me to come and do? But I was made to know, that, I served as a local government chairman, and even as chairman of ALGON, when I was nobody and I know now, I will serve perfectly well because I’m empowered and more knowledgeable.”

“Just like Biblical Joseph in the land of Egypt, because of me, Ebonyi people will begin to enjoy peace, unity and prosperity, there shall be total liberation and this will end starvation in our land,” Awam proclaimed.

He affirmed that “the workers in the state have been praying, praying and praying for the Redeemer to come to their aid, and I’m thinking, Ebonyi workers are the reason why God Almighty chose me to succeed Governor David Umahi in 2023.”

He pledged to take care of the workers’ welfare and reform the civil service system in the state, saying the theme of his journey to the Ebonyi State Government House is ‘God’s Project 2023.’

He further promised an all-inclusive government with a special priority on industrialization to ensure massive job creation and employment in his administration, pointing out that every ugly narrative heralded in the state must be stopped.

Awam said as a businessman and miner, he would use his wealth of knowledge to create wealth and robust opportunities for the citizens of the state to make a better livelihood.

“I’m a businessman, I’m a miner, and we have a lot of resources scattered all over the corners of our state. Nigeria depends on oil, but we have other minerals that the Federal law permits us to explore and enjoy, to use and develop our state.

“When we are talking about mineral deposits, it is not just mining and developing them, but blending them for more proper use to make surplus cash.

“It’s not all about excess taxation, my government will see a way to encourage investors to invest in the state.

“For us to do that, we need our brothers and sisters outside the state to come in, when they see that their investment will be safe, and make meaningful profits out of it. Then, the foreign expatriates, who are investors, will come in, because, I have a lot of them engaging in various areas, especially mining.

“If we have them in the state we will be able to have employment because every citizen of this state should have something to do as a job to sustain himself and his family to make a better future.

“For us to achieve that, we need security. Yes, I’m in support of the state police but since it’s not granted now, like what they have here, they called them “Ebubeagu in the Southeast, my view is that they could be equally retrained.

“If you retrain them, they will be able to perform well like other widely accepted security outfits in Nigeria and it will not be a tool in the hand of the government in power to molest innocent citizens while doing their legitimate businesses in the state.

“I have thought of travelling out, I know what is happening there, supposed to be happening in Ebonyi. We are going to expand every good effort already made in our state, we have to expand the infrastructural development, to navigate a profitable economy.

“This will help our investors to access rural areas and even the farmers to evacuate their farm produce. I will assist in building human capacity, especially the farmers.”

He promised to harvest, harness and export talents through sports and entertainment, expressing readiness to build quality networks for medical and academic services through wide satisfactory policies in the state.

He said his government would employ what he termed ‘technology transfer,’ by bringing in intellectual and technical foreign expatriates to use their knowledge to train Ebonyi people, and some of them would be sent abroad to study technologies of different countries across the world before bringing them back to invest their skills in others while building industries.

The NNPP gubernatorial hopeful said he would consolidate the projects of the present and past administrations, especially the Ebonyi State International Airport which is still undergoing construction while promising other prospects for the citizens.
