2023: I’ve forgiven those who betrayed me-Ogba

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship aspirant and serving Senator Ebonyi Central zone, Senator Obinna Ogba on weekend said he has forgiven those who betrayed him in the course of his ambition for the interest of the party.

Ogba made the clarification while briefing newsmen in his campaign office, Abakaliki.

Senator Ogba who had been in a legal tussle with the Ebonyi PDP gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, over the party ticket, following double primary elections conducted which produced dual Candidates.

On the 21st of October 2022, however, the supreme court gave its final judgment on the matter and declared Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii as the authentic gubernatorial candidate.

However, Senator Ogba further declared to had donated his former campaign office for Atiku/Okowa South East Movement, the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign group.

According to him, “On 21 October 2022, the supreme court gave a final judgment on the lingering matter emanating from the outcome of the 2022 PDP guber primary in Ebonyi State.

“The outcome of the judgment may not be what we wanted, and I’m sorry that we did not win this legal tussle, for the value we shared, and the vision we had for Ebonyi State and Ebonyians.

“I have forgiven those who in any way or manner, willingly betrayed a just cause, lessons have been learned, more knowledge acquired”. he said.

He reiterated his confidence in the Nigerian judiciary while commending his supporters, national, zonal, State, and wards Executives of the party for their various shows of solidarity throughout his ordeal.

The senator, emphatically maintained that he would continue to remain in the PDP and work for the interest of the party at the 2023 general elections.

“All things work together for good to those that love God, Ebonyi State shall be happy again”. he added
