As the Christmas celebration gathers momentum, Ebonyi State governor Engr David Unahi has reopened the Abakaliki Amusement Park that was closed down by the government years back because of its poor management.
Speaking during the event in Abakaliki, the Governor represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Chinwe Okah appreciated the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon Mrs Beatrice Eze for her resourcefulness, hard work and tenacity which led to the current renovation, reactivation and reopening of the children fun hub in the state.
She enjoined the ministry to ensure that the facilities at the Amusement Park are maintained to justify Ebonyi state government huge investment in its renovation.
The Governor used the occasion and wish Ebonyi children merry Christmas and a fun-filled yuletide season.
In her reaction, the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Mrs Beatrice Eze thanked most sincerely the state government under Engr David Umahi for believing that Ebonyi children deserve to have fun during the yuletide season and always by investing hugely on the renovation, reactivation and reopening of the Abakaliki Amusement Park.

She assured that the ministry would maintain the facility for benefit of Ebonyi children and fun seekers at large.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism Mrs Obiageli Oko-Enyim, the wife of the state APC Chairman, Mrs Stanley Okoro Emegha, the wife of the state SSG and Coordinating Commissioner, Mrs Njideka Ugbala and a host of other notable Ebonyi women and children were among those who witnessed the reopening event.
