The Ebonyi State Governor Engr. David Umahi has Sworn in to office the new Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the thirteen Local Government Areas as well as four senior special assistants to the Governor, eleven members of local Government advisory among others in the State.
The State Governor Engr David Nweze Umahi performed the Swearing Ceremony at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki.
Performing the function, the State Governor Engr David Nweze Umahi, congratulated the Chairmen and Vice for a successful swearing in and charged them to run an inclusive administration and charged other appointees to discharge their duties efficiently.
The Governor while commending the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Cletus Ofoke for his legal opinion backing up the election and swearing in of the Council Chairmen, said his administration has given Youth the leadership of the state and assured that the elders would continue to work with them for the process of the state.
Announcing his new appointment as South East, South South and South West APC Presidential Campaign Coordinator, Governor Umahi also announced plans to stage Three Million Man match for APC in the state by the middle of September this year, stressing that campaign for 2023 election in the state would be based on past antecedent & score card.
Earlier, the state Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, Chief Cletus Ofoke, while presenting the Chairmen and Vice for Swearing in, presented his Legal opinion and Advice on the subject matter and advised the Chairmen and other appointees to discharge their duties effectively.
Responding on behalf of other sworn in Chairmen, the Chairman of Ezza North Local Government Area, Chief Moses Ogodoali Nomeh, thanked the Governor and entire Ebonyi people for the opportunity to serve and assured that all APC Candidates in the state would be delivered victoriously in 2023 and as well provide dividends of democracy to the people in their respective Local Government Areas.
