The former Secretary to the Ebonyi Government, Professor Benard Odoh, on Sunday won the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA to contest for the 2023 governorship position in the State.
Announcing the results at the party Secretariat in Abakaliki, the Chairman of the electoral committee in the state, Samson Olalere, said that Prof Odoh grabbed all the votes for having competed with no rival during the exercise.
He announced that Odoh polled 513 votes to emerge as the flag bearer of the party during the primary election.
In his remarks, the APGA governorship candidate, Prof. Odoh, described his victory as the beginning of the liberation for the Ebonyi people during his practical trip.
He described APGA as the only feasible party in the state, saying that the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party have been wounded beyond rescue by troubles characterising them.
He urged all and sundry especially the southeastern people to support the APGA in their states while expressing the conviction that the party philosophy would contribute a lot to boosting the regional economy, among other possibilities.
