2022 IFA Super League Enter Quarter Final -Iboko

The ongoing 2022 Izzi Football Association super league has concluded group stage and ready to entered quarter finals.

The chairman organizing committee of the super league Mr George Iboko announced this while speaking with our correspondent in Abakaliki, The Ebonyi State Capital.

Mr Iboko noted that the exercise has been going on smoothly since the day it was kicked off at Izzi Nnodo Cultural Center by the sponsor, Hon. Francis Ogbonna. Nwifuru.

According to him, “We don’t have any problem since we started, we have concluded group stage and ready to enter quarter finals”.

“We had three groups housing 13 development centers, first group comprising five DC’s, second group comprises four DC’s while third is also comprising 4 DC’s. At the end of the group stage three groups will qualify from first group, two groups will qualify in both second and third groups for quarter finals”

“Out of the four groups that are participating in the match. After which we will calculate from the losers and know the best loser which will give total of eight out of thirteen development centers to go for quarter finals that will commence by first week of December, 2022” He said

He explained that 2022 Izzi super league would go along way in enhancing the unity of the entire Izzi clan and as well fight youths restiveness.

He added that Izzi Football Association targeted at producing the best and talented players that would stand tall and performed creditably well in both national and international football competitions if given the chance.

However, he enjoined participants to play by the rules and embrace the spirit of sportsmanship to make IFA proud.

He revealed that one million naira price would be given to the best performing group, five hundred naira to the second runner, three hundred thousand naira to the group that scored third position, two hundred thousand be given to the fourth position while the remaining nine groups that couldn’t make it to semi final would receive fifty thousand naira each.

He appreciated the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and APC Gubernatorial candidate Hon. Francis Nwifuru for sponsoring the football competition and as well the Local Government chairmen of Izzi extraction for their financial assistance in ensuring the success of the competition.
