–As Aggrieved Old Members Writes To Party Reconciliation Committee

–Demand Cancellation Of State Congress,Others

The aggrieved old members of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi state has petition the state party chairman,Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, demanding his removal from office on the ground of monumental fraud among other illegalities orchestrated the state congress.

However,insisted that Alhaji Dr Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah remain their authentic chairman elect.

Recall that the All Progressives Congress,APC on 16th October had their separate state congresses which produced Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha by Deacon Ideato C Ideato led committee and Alhaji Dr Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah respectively as chairmen.

According to a letter sent to APC Reconciliation Committee as endorsed by a group identified as Ohaziri Mba Reinaissance Movement(OMRM) led by Chief Alex Okemini, stated that the state Congress that produced Dr Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah was to screen the chairmanship aspirants where Dr Ajah and Chief Emegha were contestants but was hijacked through the instrumentality of the state government who lodged them at governor’s hotel, Osborne La Palm, hence, denied Alhaji Ajah the right of been screened.

Chief Okemini explained that Chief Emegha was on the day of the congress denied other contestants and supporters access to pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, venue of the congress.

The petition further emphasized that the founding fathers of the All Progressives Congress in the state had faced serious persecution since they received governor Umahi from the People’s Democratic Party.

It also pointed out that on defection to the party, the governor pointed a non registered member and a Commissioner under his cabinet as a caretaker chairman against the wish of the party faithfuls, thereby, undermine article 17(iv) of the party constitution.

It added that they rejected the outcome of the state APC congress on evidence of monumental fraud, lack of process and inherent illegalities which amounts to the abuse of consensus option adopted by the party.

They, however, appealed to the committee to call those they described as gladiators to order by advising them to stop all forms of attack on founding fathers of the party in the state.

Also, call for the cancellation of the state congress held at pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium by Chief Stanley Emegha’s camp or recommend the declaration of Alhaji Dr Haroun Ogbonnia Ajah as the chairman elect to save the party from irredeemable damage and possible destruction.

They equally urge the committee to consider all inclusive solutions on the way forward for All Progressives Congress,APC towards 2023 to the envy of other political parties.
