The EDON Media team has come across a letter circulating in the social media, allegedly scribbled to the National Chairman of our great Party, the APC His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni by one Chief Honourable Chijioke Igwe Uwa on-behalf of Architect Edward Nkwegu and others titled “Report of continued heartless and ignoble treatment of Ebonyi APC martyrs and Ebonyi APC surviving but exiled heroes/heroines of the 2019 Presidential and other elections; and extreme sideline of the old APC members in Ebonyi State by Governor David Umahi”

Ordinarily, the EDON Media team would have chosen to look the other way but this response has become expedient in order to put the facts straight before the reading Public and the generality of Ebonyians.

First, Sir, Architect, Dr. Edward Nkwegu has never joined Honourable Chief Chijioke Igwe Uwa or any other person to protest against His Excellency, Engineer David Nweze Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State even while he was at the other side of the divide.

EDON has never partake in any gathering or scene where demands for redress to the grievances of members of the old APC was presented .

The EDON Media team is saddened that Chief Uwa instead of embarking on his lost course privately decided to attach the peace loving EDON into the feather-weight and fabricated allegations.

Based on the foregoing, the EDON Media team wishes to state it categorically clear that Sir, Architect Edward Nkwegu is happy and satisfied with the policies and programmes of the State Government led by Engineer David Nweze Umahi and has variously confessed that in the open at various fora.

We therefore urge our hardworking Governor and the general Public to disregard the spurious and baseless allegations of Chief Uwa who is solely seeking for relevance after excruciating Political oblivion.

Arc. Dr Edward Nkwegu is only reliable and sincere member of APC that received Governor David Umahi and some of his cabinet into the party with open heart, which has reflected in his comments, discussions , speeches and actions in different fora till date. Governor David Umahi is the leader of APC in Ebonyi state and any group or individual working against the efforts of Governor Umahi in uniting the members of the party in the state may fail in their plans. EDON is a close friend of Governor Umahi and will continue to support the decision and activities of party leader
