Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State chapter has passed a vote of confidence on the State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Charles Emeka Akpu-enika and the immediate past Commissioner for Education, Dr Onyebuchi Chima.
According to the group in a communique signed by it’s chairman Mr. Emmanuel Nnaji, Secretary Mrs Grace Egbo and three others at the end of their general meeting on Wednesday, disclosed that the two commissioners deserves commendation for jointly steering the 2021 Governor David Nweze Umahi School Sports in the state.
Also, the group congratulated Ebonyi State Government under the leadership of Governor David Umahi for the plans to organize other sporting activities in the state which arrangements has been concluded. They however urged the students to reciprocate the gesture of the state government by being of good behaviour and shun restiveness.
The statement reads ” The Association lauded the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Engr Dr David Nweze Umahi (FNSE, FNATE) for relentlessly championing grassroot sports development in the state.
” The Association in the State under the able and pragmatic leadership of Mr. Emmanuel Nnaji passed vote of confidence on the State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Charles Emeka Akpu-enika and the immediate past Commissioner for Education, Dr Onyebuchi Chima for jointly steering the State Sports Committee to a successful conclusion of the 2021 Governor David Nweze Umahi School Sports in the state.
“The Association once again congratulate Ebonyi State Government for concluding arrangements already to organize other sporting activities in the state now that the School Sports Competition has been rounded off.
” Similarly we congratulate Ebonyi children for a successful competition and urged them to reciprocate the gesture of the state government by being of good behaviour and shun restiveness.
