The former Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial zone, Dr Anthony Agbo on Wednesday 28th April,2021 commended the chairman South East Governors Forum and Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi for the launching of Ebube-Agu Joint Security in the state.
The erstwhile senator made the statement at the new governor’s Lodge, Government House Abakaliki.
He said that the formation of the security outfit by the South East state Governors was a good omen, adding that the region was due to have internal security that would help man the challenge.
Senator Agbo said the state government also approved the sum of twenty million naira to Umuoguduakpu community which was recently attacked by suspected herders.
He said over ten persons died and more than fourty families were dispersed at the affected Umuoguduakpu autonomous community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the state.
Recall that Umuoguduakpu Ngbo community was on penultimate Monday attacked by suspected herdsmen and destroyed property worth millions of naira.
Also recall was that South East Governors Forum led by Engr David Umahi on weekend during their stakeholders meeting announced the introduction of regional security network as to curb the incessant herdersmen and farmers attack in the region.
