The Secretary to Ebonyi State government, Dr. Kenneth Ugbala has appreciated the forum of EAs, STAs and TAs for their unflinching support for the administration and political inclination of Governor David Nweze Umahi.
Dr Ugbala gave the appreciation while addressing the forum at Akanu Ibiam International Conference Center Abakaliki, after their solidarity rally/ road walk in strategic areas of Abakaliki metropolis.
The solidarity rally cum Road walk which kick-started at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium through old Government House Area to Afikpo road and the state APC office and terminated at the Akanu Ibiam International Conference Center, turned into a political carnival.
The SSG and Coordinating Commissioner, Dr. Ugbala while thanking them for their show of love and solidarity with the governor said, the gesture had encouraged them in the course of developing the state.
Dr. Ugbala who described the forum as a training ground for future leaders charged them to tackle any attack on the government headlong in a situation that the opposition group disobey the peace agreement in the state.
He said the administration would reciprocate the support with greater partnership and admonished them to stand firmly always with the governor for their socio-economic and political advancement.
Earlier, the state APC chairman and Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflicts Resolution, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha and the Principal Secretary to the governor, Chief Clement Nweke said their support for governor Umahi and APC were an indication that the state was fully for the party and were sure of future political victories for APC in the state,noting that they can’t join issues with desperate opposition politicians who were bent on bringing the state to disrepute and harped on the need for unity to uplift the state and the country to the next level.
The leader of the forum of EAS, STAs and TAs Comrade Emma O. Nwangbo said the gesture was to show their support to the quality administration and the political movement of the governor.
While expressing happiness to associate with the performing government of Governor David Nweze Umahi said the forum would always work for him and the APC.
The solidarity rally and road walk was attended by members of the forum and supporters of the government all reaffirming their support for governor Umahi and APC.
