–as Excos, Council Chairmen, Others Pay him Xmas Homage

Ebonyi State Governor Engr. David Umahi has assured to do everything within his reach to integrate both old PDP and new APC members respectively for the overall development and welfare of people in the state.
Umahi made the assertion while addressing his Executive council Members led by his Deputy Barr. Kelechi Igwe and others including Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Council Chairmen, Nigeria youth congress NYC, Rachel Umahi Women, Nigeria legion and others during their Christmas homage to him at Uburu in Ohaozara Local government area of the State.
According to the governor”If you asked Council Chairmen, Executive council members, Coordinators, house of Assembly members, we are one body in 2015 and if we all work together this Divine mandate will continue to rule in Ebonyi state but I will do my best to ensure this house is in order and it will be an advantage to us”
“My deputy was telling me about one function that involved Elechi SA and he was happy to see all former Excos of Elechi with him there, some of them didn’t join us because we were having issues with Elechi, that is loyalty, honesty and commitment, so when they have reconciled and join us, I take them very seriously. How many of you when we finished up there will still visit us, I trust you that is why I want your house to be close with my own”
He encouraged them to be faithful and shun betraying people”I want you to go back and count those that betrayed us in 2015, they have never found their feet, I am advising you to be straight forward with high level of commitment”
He stated that there was no physical development with spiritual development advising them to work hard, remain resolute and urged them to shun criticism but work in unison for the interest of the citizenry.
He further stated that his partnership with Ikwo and Ohaukwu has come to stay, promising to guide it jealously.
He appreciated them for embracing peace in their areas, assuring the people of Ohaukwu of the completion of ring roads, promising the construction of road that would connect all villages in the council and pledged to launch Army forces Emblem early January 2021.
He, equally h approved payment of stipends to their retired officers and would provide template where to make input that guarantee nations building.
He described Rachel Umahi Women as unique people who have contributed immensely for the the overall welfare of women in the state, and charged Nigeria youth congress to engage in high level of productivity.
He announced the appointment of the former caretaker APC chairman as the new commissioner for Intergovernmental affairs with a charge to discharge his duties diligently.
The Deputy Governor of the state Barr. Kelechi Igwe on behalf of executive council members congratulated the governor over his leadership ingenuity saying that all executive council members are in the same page with him.
He noted that they came to show solidarity and demonstrate love to the governor having distinguished himself in governance saying that they are solidly behind him to run for presidential race come 2023.
Chief Okeagu Ogada,an elder statesman on behalf of Ikwo council said Umahi has taking Ebonyi to the political mainstream of the country.
He stated that Umahi political horizon would continue to expand, prayed God to give him the enablement to speak for Ebonyi continuously.
Barr. Clement Odah Chairman of Ohaukwu local government area hinted that Umahi is the fastest moving Governor in Nigeria adding that he has restored both physical and social harmony in the council.
Others who spoke includes the coordinator of Rachel Umahi Women Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu, President of Nigeria youth congress Mr. Raymond Okoro and leader of Nigeria Legion captain Fidelis Ogodo,all pledged their loyalty and total support to the governor at all times to transform the state, describing Umahi as a man of the people who pays attention to the plights of the people.
The Member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency Comrade Chinedu Ogah moved motion for the Governor Umahi to present himself as presidential candidate come 2023, seconded by the member representing Ikwo South Constituency in Ebonyi state house of Assembly Hon. Moses Odunwa and was unanimously adopted by the people.
Highlights were presentation of Cows and other gifts to Governor Umahi in the spirit of Christmas celebration.
