The caretaker Chairman,Peoples Democratic Party,PDP Ebonyi State Chapter, elder Fred Udeogu on Wednesday 16th December,2020 replied State Governor,Engr.David Umahi on said plan to recall some serving lawmakers, describing statement as an empty threat.

He stated this in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital during the official familiarization visit of Inter Party Advisory Council,IPAC, and lauded members for their steadfastness.

He described the said plan of recalling some national and state assembly members for their alleged refusal to join the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC as a joke taken too far as the lawmakers have the right of choice of association.

He noted that the party as any other opposition party in the state would resist every plan to be intimidated by the ruling government who upon inception of office was elected through PDP.

Elder Udeogu called the state governor to decline from the political gibberish, and face his administrative business as the people of the state cannot be bought with cheap talk.

He stressed that the party is intact and advised members to be resolute as Ebonyi remains PDP state which in no doubt why the current administration wallow in fear and fruitless threat.

Earlier, the state caretaker Chairman Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, Comrade Nwogba Morgan Nnaemeka commended the new caretaker Committe of People Democratic party for identifying with the opposition party colleagues and assured them of sincere support.

On his part,Hon. He maintained that as opposition party leaders, they are not bereft of their contributions for the overall best interest of the state and would not accept to be cajoled for petty gifts.

He described the move of Chief Fred Udeogu led caretaker Committe Chairman as a healthy decision, stating that People Democratic Party, still remain the leading party in the state despite current hullabaloo that would soon fade away naturally.

“The national leadership of IPAC has constituted management Committe in the 36 states which is inline with article 3 of (3.3) (c) (c) (c) (j)of IPAC code of conduct, including FCT and the people they made as executive are among them those from the over seventy deregistered political parties which proved that IPAC is intact and circulation by some individuals who are bent in forging signatories of political parties leaders to defraud the state government in the name of IPAC will soon be made to face the wrath of the law because the court of appeal has said INEC deregistered those political parties in error and we are to wait until supreme Court rule otherwise.

“I advise members to continue to work together to defend democracy in the state and those who are dishing hate speech to be cautious of their trade because no one can tell where the ship of the polity will sail soon because few months ago, some supporters of the leading party PDP burnt property of APC supporters but some have gone back to join same party which is a clear evidence that no party is supreme.
